With just over seven weeks to go until Christmas Day, the hair and beauty experts at Hairtrade.com have listed the hair and beauty chores we should be completing each week in order to be ready for the party season.
Use this easy guide and you’ll be head-to-toe party ready with plenty of time left for any last-minute Christmas shopping.
Seven weeks to go – skin:
Skin products can take at least six weeks to take effect so start to implement a really good routine now. Invest in some quality face and body products and you’ll have clean, fresh and super smooth skin in no time.
Six weeks to go – hair:
If you want to try out a new hairstyle this season, now’s the time to bite the bullet and have the chop. This way, you will have plenty of time to practice styling it before getting your party shoes on.
Five weeks to go – detox:
In order to make way for the copious amounts of food and alcohol you’ll be consuming over the festive period, kick-off a cleansing detox and ditch the bad stuff for the next few weeks. Avoid processed foods, takeaways, sugar, alcohol and caffeine and up your water intake – your body will thank you in the long run.
Four weeks to go – tan:
Cast-off deathly pale skin and begin using a gradual tanning lotion to build up a gorgeous winter glow now.
Three weeks to go – body hair:
This is a great time to tackle unwanted body hair. For long-lasting results, try professional or home waxing to ensure a silky finish that will last throughout the festive season.
Two weeks to go – nails:
Get your digits looking party-ready with a festive manicure. Opt for gel polish which lasts longer than the average nail colour and you’ll be set for the entire Christmas period.
One week to go – face:
Treat your skin to a touch of luxury with a nourishing face mask. Steer clear of masks that contain harmful ingredients, toxins and chemicals and instead opt for one with a natural base like tea tree oil, aloe vera or shea butter.
